Agreed. It should be fine. If it's wet with oil, then no. Those Kohler gaskets don't do well after they've been wet with oil. For example, recently, I replaced a breather gasket. Don't remember why, but I had to take the cover back off after running the motor for a short time. Used the gasket I had just installed over...... and it leaks. It got oil on it when I removed it. SO, if you keep it dry, your fine. If it's oily, don't risk it. It's a pain to pull the motor to change the pan gasket.
