If the arm is still on, pull it back and rotate the pto until the U shaped cutouts line up. If it's off or disconnected, light taps with a hammer on the button will allow you to rotate it until they line up.

Make sure the holes and the hex are as clean as you can get them. Use a high quality 1/8" hex wrench to loosen the set screws. There should be TWO in each hole for a total of six.

After they are all removed, then you should be able to get it off.
