There four generations of 42" mower decks. The best and simplest way to determine what you have, is a PICTURE of the deck.
Parts can be looked by here....
CCParts Lookup Site. Select Cub Cadet as the brand then the model of your tractor. A pop up will come up and look through the list to see your model and "select it".
