Default 451 snow blower

.........whatever you want to call it.

I have a 451 I bought used a couple years ago. I mounted it on a 1641 and never used it to move snow. I did spin it up dry. It seemed to be okay but maybe have made some noise. I don't really remember how much or what it sounded like.

Anyway, a member here wants to buy it. I can't assure him it's 100% and he lives about 300 miles away so it's not practical for him to bring it back if something MIGHT BE wrong with it. I don't want to sell something that isn't right.

Anyway, I advised the potential buyer that the PTO pulley had about a half inch of radial play in it and maybe 3/8" end play in the same shaft.

For those of you that have these blowers, is this normal or too much? Otherwise, how can I be sure this thing is in good condition gearbox wise. The rest of the thing appears in very good condition.

Any honest input appreciated.
