I just did the same thing with mine, broke the old one three times until there wasn't anything left to grab with the puller. Used a saws all to cut off the arms from the inner part, then I had something to grab to. 2 days of p-juice helped too. I put a smaller pully on to speed up the auger. I had issues with snow packing inside the discharge chute last year, so speeding up the auger might help, also took all the paint off the inside of the chute and painted it, and put some car wax on it. Hope this helps
