I have the same lift that op had mentioned. It would not lift my 2182 with a 60" deck on it without a little modification. When you get it and put it all together, you will notice that it just won't lift your tractor. It will lift you, the dog, a tool box and a stack of tires but not a larger tractor. But if you do one simple trick, all you old wise men who like to be safe, stop reading here, you just juice up the jack a little bit. On the jack you will see an orange plastic cap that says "DO NOT ADJUST" well, yer gonna want to adjust that. Pop that cap off and righty tighty that summon a gun down. You are now entering the danger zone. It will now lift anything, including a Ranger, but now the metal structure is close to its folding up point. BE VERY CAREFUL AND DONT GET YERSELF KILLED. Blocks under the tires, jack stands, yelling wife, concerned neighbors, and a phone nearby when you do this.
