and mis behavior is not rewarded with a kick in the arse.
I'm not talking about child abuse, I'm talking about discipline.

I agree with 99% of what you are saying, BUT! There are still a few decent schools out there that have the vocational aspect to them. In my home town where I still reside, we have a vocational school that ships kinds in from other neighboring towns with classes ranging from Criminal Justice, PC Repair, Woodshop, auto shop, etc. It's a great resource to have and wish I had taken more advantage of it when I had the chance. So, not ALL hope is lost
