1st. Things first.
My drive way is as flat as you can get!
In my opinion; chains are a bit better. I had to anticipate & think ahead to do my plowing of 2" of snow.
I did start spinning a few times at first. Thinking ahead I had to change my tactics being used to chains.
So, all in all if you've got a flat drive
They are OK., but I think with a sloping drive one can run into problems ???
Also my driveway did not get scraped up.
