Then I went to look at the carb. when i pulled the air filter off, it pretty much cleared up. I put it back on, searching, sputtering etc... so I took the air filter off, and cleaned the driveway. Runs like a champ.

Any chance you got some moisture in your air filter element and it froze (especially overnight) and stopped up your filter?
