I'm looking at one of these Brinly plows and it appears the arm is about 2 feet long and I would guess the weight would be about 45#, generating about 90 foot-pounds of torque. To stay in the same range I would need the 250# hanging no further than 5 inches from the tractor? Does that sound right?
