It's really to each their own. If I found one sitting in a barn and could get it bought reasonably, I'd probably buy it to keep and restore, not resell. But when you have one like this that the owner is trying to get top dollar (we all probably would if we were selling
) I would pass. I have no desire to dump 2 grand into a cub to just stare at and not use. And like Jon pointed out, the O needs a total restore and the rearend fixed. Prolly dump quite a bit more money into it unless you had another O to put it on. I'd rather put that money towards something I want or will use like another smoker or two, a super, etc. Shoot, I'd rather have the big brother of a smoker, say a 1206 or 1456.
The last couple 9 speeds that sold on Epay sold between $1200-1500 just for the M&W IIRC.
