Yeah I'm thinking you may have got the last part, "the last of it's kind., IH then went to LOW BOY" mistaken.
Because my 1956 Cub is virtually the same tractor, ain't a low boy.
If I'm not mistaken the low boy wasn't introduced until 1955. Could be off a little, don't have the "IH bible" handy right now.
Mine will NEVER look that sharp
