Just my 2 cents on the ATF oil deal. I had one hydro gear pump that was given to me a couple years ago, it was supposed to be bad. The PO had filled the trans with ATF. Took it apart and it had globs of stuff that looked like pink Crisco all over the insides. My guess is the ATF and the Hy-Tran didn't like each other. If it was my tractor I'd play it safe and stick with Hy-Tran or something that is compatible with Hy-Tran unless you have the rear torn down and totally cleaned out.
