I seriously doubt that J-Mech got taken. He makes his living with tools. Look at it this way, you promise a customer that you'll do a job for X amount of $$ and have it done at a certain time. In the middle of the job you cheap tool breaks, damages the project your working so now you need to do more work replace the tool and you don't get the job done as you said you would so you don't get paid and the customer doesn't come back for future work. How much did you save?
