Well today started out to be an easy project that went totally in the crapper. I was just going to pull the battery support to paint it, that went very well. Then I noticed a wet spot under the engine. Wonder what that is? A little searching and oh goody the water pump is starting to leak.
Getting at the water pump in a 2182 or a 1782 is major PITA. You have 2 choices pull the engine or pull the radiator. Well I went for the radiator. Got it all apart. Ordered the new pump $110.17 and a gasket $4.20 plus UPS from the Bota dealer, should be in Friday. Yep I know they can be rebuilt but at this point I don't want to deal with it. Part that sucks is when I had the engine out I thought about doing the pump considering I was doing all the hoses and the fan belt. No that would have been too much like smart.
