You'll love the 982. Maybe its the deeper sound playing tricks on me, but I swear my 982 will leave my 2072 in the dust (both have 60" decks). I've still got some bugs to work out of my 982. If it took me 30 years to get one, I guess taking a couple more to get it right is acceptable.
