Nice looking set up Hoss! So I'm relieved about the cost of what I feel I would need for a chain...that is a good price before shipping! I had a set of 4 link with the straight cleat on the chains a while ago. These were second hand, and had done an awesome job for me a number of years. The 4 link began to wear thin between the links after many, many years of service, respectably.

So, I now have a new set of the twist style two link on my model 72 running 8.5" tires. I have personally noticed a difference in grip, bit, and over-all performance between the two different styles. But anyhow, the 4 link worked great, but I noticed a smoother ride with my new 2 link twist style chains.

As of now, I have the IH wheel weights, 10.5" turf tires, and 1/4" wheel spacers for my 1450 that I will be setting up as a snow plow tractor....as soon as I get it together. I'm starting with getting what I need for my 1450 early in the year as it might just take me finding one until this December to get a nicer blade and sub frame!!!

thanks again for your help and suggestions!
