Yes I'm using tubes. The painting conditions were terrible- 45 degrees, howling wind, had the spray cans in a pot of warm water, and the portable heater to warm up the parts. If I did it all over again... I would have at least used primer on the insides of the wheels. The case/IH paint doesn't cover as good as rustoleum, but it sets up thick.
I wrestled the front two tires on. The 4 ply ti-ribs are STIFF. I had to use a vice to squish the sidewalls to get them on. I did bone up the paint on the insides of the front- that will require some touchup. But since it's 10 degrees outside, that'll have to be another day.
The next "issue" is that my wheel weight bolts are too long! After I blasted, primed and painted them. I need to buy some shorter ones. (parts guide calls for 5 1/4"). Mine are 6". I can get 18-8 stainless from mcmaster carr for $2 each (316 stainless are $8 each! ouch). Or should I just run them as-is with two washers?
