I have a 50c on my 782 & the 54 on my 1861. I think the 54" cuts nicer and throws the clippings better, and the caster wheels seem to help keep the cut level. I haven't really noticed either tractor overworked from either deck.
If I could retrofit a 54" under my 782 I would.
