I used my 451 ONCE this year so far, and it was in wet, heavy, nasty snow. As long as I kept it fed good, it didn't clog. But once the snow tapered off or I'd stop and try to start again, it'd usually clog. I think it just needed more run time to "shine" itself up but I'm sure some PAM or something similar wouldn't hurt.
Shrew: I thought you posted pics when you added your impeller "extensions". Did you, or am I going crazy? I'd like to see what you did. Do you really think it helped? Maybe I'll have to do this to mine for next year because after this season, it has earned it's place in my shop with but one snow storm.
