I'm not liking the sound of that. Pop the rear cover and see what it looks like. Take the filter off and cut it open and look for metal.
After that take the charge pump off and see if it took a dump.
For whatever it's worth one of my standard operating procedures on a used machine is to cut the filter open, this is what a good one looks like inside. If you find metal you have a problem.
