The rear differential cover will fit on the machine two ways. When I removed the cover from my 2182 the flange was facing forward, toward the front of the tractor. Searching the forum, I found one picture that indicated the cover was on with the flange facing forward, also. Is this correct? Why?
Not that it makes much difference that I can figure, other than another crevice for dirt to collect. In all my years playing with old junk I've not seen a cover on this way. Experts, which is right? And I thank you.
