Thirty bucks sounds a bit high for the tool but I bought mine around fifteen years ago.
The cone shaped fittings dont take a regular Zerk adapter you have to use a needle. My grease gun has both, if you screw the outer zerk adapter off there is a needle underneath. My small gun for greasing chian saw bars works on them too, if they are not plugged. My "75" F100 has needle fitings in the u joints on ends of the front axles. They work good if there are clearence issues and you use the right adapter.
