Seems as if the idler arm tension spring has lost some sprung?
Or, perhaps just a new belt'll do the trick?
The tension / idler arm, jumps in my opinion just a bit much. This deck sat outdoors for 'bout a year. Belt looks good and I loaded it with CRC belt conditioner. Deck is in excellent condition after lots of wo....wo....work.
Is it possible the belt length
grew while unused outdoors; snow, ice, rain, sun, dark nights, gloomy days?
A ride to TSC, Huskee Kevlar belt(s), seems to be in order.
I find it obsene that one would leave a piece of equipment outdoors regardless. This Cub has a place, forever, in my barn. Poor Cubbie suffered enough!
