I spent most of my February being ill and missed on average 2 days a week. I, too, have never been sick like I have this year. I think it is the strain of viruses that is going around, because normally I am on my feet and not phased by what is going around, but certainly not this year. It sounds like you have had a similar experience.
Recently, it steams my clams whenever I see a co-worker "tough it out" when they are sick and show up to work because I seem to be getting it because of that mentality of "I have to show up to work". A couple of weeks ago, I spoke with an old classmate of mine and she said that she worked for BASF and the company requires (mandatory) them to take off 2 days (paid) if they are ill. There was several other things she mentioned about that company (positive perks) and I asked what the turnover rate was for them. She said hardly any. Imagine that, a company that treats its workers right and the workers wanting to stay at that company for employment.......what a novel idea!
Well, I tried my Dr. Jack remedy and that didn't even work when I was ill, so hang in there, I know what it is like. Here's to your good health and to all of our good health....
