The 782 is staying to use near my house--there are places the 50" will barely pass, to say nothing of using the 60". I pulled the KT17 series II a couple months ago and had a local machine install new guides and hone the bores. This engine went from being a pain to start to being nearly effortless. Seems quite a bit more aggressive as well. Can't wait to try it.
The 1541 is not staying with me. I bought it cheap for the very nice 50C deck to put on the 782. Not liking to waste stuff, I decided my dad needed a new mower. The 1541 will get my old, but servicable deck off the 782 with new bearings. Plastics on that thing are, of course, beat to heck. My dad won't care. He is liking the idea of the hydro trans and lift. Plus, all the interlocks still work to my great annoyance.
