Here we go again!

I've just completed a renovation on a 1772 over the other side on the pond and am attempting to fit its cutting deck. I've released the front adjusters but there simply isn't enough play to lift the deck on to the forward facing prongs and line up the rear spring fasteners with the drive belt under tension

I expect I'm doing it incorrectly but haven't an instruction manual to follow.
So, any advice would be most appreciated please.
