Did you replace it with a Delco Remy V/R and it's good now? I've been to tsc and haven't found the correct one for our cubs so I've never bought one. They were all 6 volt jobs at my TSC. Anyway thank you for posting your answer, we appreciate you letting us know the end result. I am doing a "renew" on one of my originals and purchased an old Delco VR on purpose. If you look at the internals on them there's a reason they last 40 plus years as opposed to the Chinesium junk ones they build now. Thanks again for the information
I'm with Roland (although quite the stiff reply) that if you were using an electronic one that would have been really good info to have as I'm not sure there's a solid state V/R out there that has worked on our stuff yet with S/G's
