You can probably weld the bolts to the field coil if you do a little at a time and cool it as soon as you weld it. Maybe someone can TIG it for you. What have you got to lose?
You may want to consider doing a re-power. If you could find a 2185 with a good running CH 18 for an organ donor you could solve the engine and PTO issue all in one shot. Yep it would have the large PTO but you could just put the later big pulley on the Haban. Holler if I can help.
