Well, thank you for your responses!! After reading them, I took the cover off one of the Internet V/R's (which I had not done previously), and, lo and behold, it was NOT ELECTRONIC, as I was told by the repair shop, but mechanical. Upon seeing that, I called the repair shop and spoke to the manager, and he informed me that he was wrong, and that they were in fact mechanical V/R's , but defective right out of the box, and were causing a full field condition. so-- an easy job made hard because of defective, new parts, just as many of you (myself included) suspected. The system charges normally now.
