The Fun Begins
Has anyone successfully tapped the connection ports on a Cyclops implement control valve to accept an NPT fitting? I am pulling the engine in my 2086 shortly to replace the plastic cam gear and while its out I plan to add a second valve and lines for front outlets. The factory kit lines are NLS and because it doesn't look like anybody makes an adaptor to go in the existing clamp style ports, tapping looks to be the best way to go. I know I'll have to disassemble the valve but the hole look to be pretty shallow and I am not sure how many good threads it will hold. It looks like an 1/8" NPT tap will work, is that big enough? Looking for some advice from the experts. The other option I understand is to cut the ends off a couple of used lift lines and have a new hose of the correct length crimped on.
