Well.... the air breather says it is. It also says Series II. I see a point cover and a coil, so I'm gonna say it is.

Same as any engine.



Oil consumption causes:

Worn rings
Worn cylinders
Bad piston
Bad crankcase vent
Blown head gasket
Oil leak at any gasket, seal or orifice possible.
Wrong oil
Bad fuel pump (leaks gas into the motor and makes it thin, thus easier to get past rings.)
