More proof. I pulled the new switch this eve, and closely compared it to the old one. While the spade pattern was the same, the base of the spades were riveted in different locations.

I could see corrosion that could have bridged the base of 2 terminals, so I got out a wire brush and contact cleaner and decided to retry the old switch just for kicks. When turning the switch on, the oil light did not light, and there were no other signs of "life", but the fuse held without blowing. I then decided to jumper the solenoid again with the old switch in place, and the Magnum 18 sprung to life and I mowed. I'll locate the proper switch and update if this results in a complete fix. Thanks guys!

Now maybe Jonathan and crew can help me troubleshoot my Wi-Fi!!! LOL!
