The gears in the transmission are straight cut,,,,,, the teeth must be aligned in order to mesh with each other. try this,,,,,,depress the clutch pedal down far enough to disengage the clutch but not far enough to engage the brake, then wiggle yourself in order to move the tractor forward or backward an inch or so,hopefully this will line up the teeth on the gears and allow them to mesh.
