Well I may not have gotten to the bottom of this yet. Now with the bad ignition switch still in place, I can still jump start the motor with the key in the run position. But now the PTO doesn't work. I see the red lead from the S terminal on the ignition switch feeds power to the PTO switch, so this could still be the bad ignition switch giving me trouble (or I have really bad luck).
