NAPA made up a hose for me today for $28. I'm in western Rhode Island, which is the rural part of RI, and do have a Tractor Supply nearby across the state line in Connecticut (a mile away from NAPA) but they don't make hoses. Anyway, I put on the new hose and all appears okay. Oddly, even though the hoses seem to be reversed when I push the handle down, the mower deck lowers. Pull the handle back, the mower deck rises.
