Hello, i know a man who works for MTD, he's there trouble shootin mech. He told me the tighter the coil set, the more advanced the timing. I forgot exactly what he said, maybe 2 advanced for 1 tighter, it wasn't much. I bought a 18 hour 25hp off him once and would go back again. He liked free horsepower improvement. Most of the one's i've seen are set around 9 or 10k. Mike
