Default Just a thought

This is just a thought I have, but you don't by chance have a bad intake gasket or loose intake manifold. The reason I am thinking this is:
When cranking slow it may allow enough reduction in vacuum to not pull or vaporize the fuel well. With ether it is vaporized from the can. As for using the gasoline if it doesn't vaporize it will not start. Have you tried to crank it using your hand over the carburator? This one is an interesting problem. I kope you figure it out and I am following this one.
