1862 Pto Pulley Question
I do not know what the pto is supposed to fit that was on my 1862 but it was not correct for the tractor. Besides not fitting right the pulley was larger. The old pulley was 5.25 in diameter and the correct pto I just installed is right at 4.50in. My question is will the smaller pulley speed up the blades? I always thought they were a little slow and this is probally the reason. My old brain can not seem to remember but I thought a smaller pulley on one end would increase belt speed.
