2544 PTO Question
Had a friend of a friend contact me last night, said he heard I work on Cubs. He has a 2544 he just bought and he can't get the PTO to engage. My obvious list of things to check are all the safety switches but after that I'm heading towards PTO switch or PTO. My question is more of a make sure I'm right than anything else. To test the PTO and effectively bypass the wiring harness, I would need to disconnect the wiring harness from the PTO and, assuming it is the single wire hookup, provide 12 volts to that wire to energize the PTO, correct?
