You really need to figure out where your tractor falls in the range of serial numbers. There are three different models in the 2185 line, and they use two different PTO clutches depending on the serial number. The one that uses the little angle bracket to keep it from rotating takes a different clutch than the other two that use a hexagonal pin. Here is a link to the Cub Cadet parts page showing that clutch. If you can't read the serial number can you read the model number? It looks like that will also verify which clutch is correct. If you have the correct clutch how you installed it would seem to be right.
