I vividly remember our 2 driver training cars @ high skool.
1959 Ford automatic 4 door, and 1960 Plymouth Valiant 3 on the floor, 4 door.
We had to learn to drive both before we passed.
My first lesson was in the Valiant.
We got in and I adjusted the seat, and both mirrors,
no seat belts in those days, fired it up and off we went.
A mile or so along and a few stop signs later. the instructor told me to pull to the curb as close as I could without going up on it, so I did.
He then said, well I see you have been driving a while and acquired a few bad habits.
You will keep your arm inside the car and not on the window sill, your hands @10-2 position and turn off the radio!
You are not cruising with your buddies, now get in the back seat and let one of the other students come up here and learn how to drive.
We got along fine for the rest of the lessons.
That was a long time ago!
Funny, I can remember that, but not what I did a few days ago.
