Some of you will remember that I bought a low hour 1440 from the original owner last fall and it wasn't running. With low hours and the overall condition very good I paid the man and brought it home.
Well I finally got around to pulling the fuel filter, replacing some new fuel lines, using new gas and pulling the top off the carb and cleaning the varnish looking stuff from inside, the needle and float. I also decided to put new plugs in it and gave it a try. It runs and sounds pretty good. My question -- It will only run with the choke completely closed. Is there another part of the carb I have to clean that I couldn't get to from the top? Thanks for any help.
