Mark, I believe Sammac did the thrust bearing upgrade on the spindles to one of his tractors. There is a write up on here somewhere, but I think he had to machine down the bottom of the axle to make room for the bearings on the spindle.

I didn't know that anyone had done that, though it doesn't surprise meat all.
I've been thinking about doing that for awhile, but that pesky time thing gets in the way A LOT.
