Hi everyone! I found this community of Cub enthusiasts while researching used mowers. Great info and helpful people.
I ended up buying the used 2005 LT1042 off of craigslist that I was researching.
Although it is an mtd, I have a connection with the International Harvester Cadets from back in the 1970's.
My first job, not counting hay bailing as a teen, was working for a painting company in Indianapolis. Back then International Harvester contracted the priming of many of their cast iron parts to te company I worked for.
We primed everything from large transmission parts to the front axel on the Cub Cadet riding mowers.
It only took 37 years since then for me to get my cub. Maybe my next one will be from back when I was priming those axels.
