My 2" dash unit is currently running on my 1650 since almost 2 month, I just didn't have the time to post pictures. It's a modified "home brew" recipe I didn't post detail of the circuit modification yet since it's not an easy solution but it work for me 
I will kick my butt and post pictures ASAP in this thread this week
