FWIW: I went the route of 1 tooth more on the drive sprocket, and it works well and I see a difference in distance snow is thrown.
I have 18 horses for power, something around 10 12 hp I'd be keeping my original sprocket handy just in case when under working conditions, the hp cannot keep the auger spinning @ efficient rpm's.
