Dan,
Been running into a lot of hoses being eaten up by ethanol fuel, check them.
and also the filter in the tank, thinking it might have one.
Remember something about a rubber check valve in carb. turns to gum.
think they are called duckbills( don't know if you have a primer or choke) also think there is one in the gas cap letting air in and keeping gas from leaking out, just a foggy memory.
They have a chainsaw collector sight on the net' can't remember the name but google it.
