I saw a big (Like 72" at least) front mounted lawn mower, (one of those ones you drive with handles) at a local UFA, it had a 25 horse B&S V twin in it, but it was mounted so stupidly that the oil plug opened up onto sheetmetal, and the nearest hole for the drain was almost 2 feet away. Imagine the mess that would make! Also the battery was in such a smart place that you had to flip the thing on it's side to take it out... Pretty dumb if you ask me...
