I haven't stopped in for quite awhile and I'm quite pleased to see that this thread has been supported in the fashion in which I'd originally hoped: just some good old boys showing off their toys. I had sinking feeling that the thread my be down with the dinosaurs by now.

A+ to the membership here respecting the mods wishes... I hope everyone keeps it up.

That said... Where can a fella get some .22LR at a fair price these days? My mother has been complaining about muskrats in her pond and I'd like to get some trigger time on my 10/22TD, but I'm very fearful of running my supplies too low. The last 1,000 rounds of .22LR I bought I paid .15/ea for and I'd like to find some for about 1/2 that. You know, "normal" pricing. To be honest, I bought the gun 2 years ago and haven't put round 1 through it yet because I just can't justify the cost of replacement ammo. My local Meglo-Marts haven't had a single round of .22LR in 3 years...

Just so I'm not left out of the gun pron, here's the little devil we're talking about (I don't think I posted pictures here before... but if so, I guess it's a trip down memory lane).

Centerfold dimensions:

Ruger 10/22 18.5" stainless barrel takedown model (To those that are uninitiated on this model, that means the barrel and the receiver separate with the push of a button, which effectively halves the length of the rifle for storage and transportation... It will fit in most SUV center consoles with my modifications shown below).
AGP folding stock
Uncle Mikes quick detach sling mounts (had to get the QDs so the rifle could still halve itself without much trouble)
Uncle Mikes sling
UTG quick detach scope rings (I admit it... Got 'em just because its cool)
Tasco 4x32 scope (hey... knock Tasco all you want but I've shot with them before and they're fine... and it was $12.99 on clearance... I bought 2 of them because the price was so good)
Really cheap billet aluminum scope rail (eBay? Midway? I just remember it was like $5)
Also shown with a Ruger BX-25 magazine
